Charles's Story

Life From 1971-73, I went to East Texas State University, Commerce where I majored in Journalism. However; I did not finish but came back home. I then took a job for a year at Piccadilly Cafeteria and developed a friendship along the way with a neighbor who now is married. I would take my guitar and play for her and her sister and brother. e Spring of 1975 until Fall of 1976. The last year I worked as a custodian for the college. My grades were poor so I left. The Fall of 1976, I did a short stint as a volunteer announcer on KCHU. I know of at least two people from high school who heard me. While there I worked a month also for Howard Johnsons Restuarant at Mockingbird and Central now a bank. Around 1980 I worked as a custodian for New Creation Christian Church at Jim Miller and Bruton. !990, I started working for Albertsons which lasted until Feb 2004.
