Charles's Story
Life
It's been a while since I updated this section.
My Chrisitian walk is the most important thing in my life, and my favorite verse is Zephaniah 3:17 in the NIV or Message.
I could talk about my kids forever. I have 5 Kids - 18, 17, 15, 12 and 7, each are unique and special. 1 Starts college and will be playing softball in the fall for Midway, 1 will graduate soon and likley go into a music profession. The rest play a mixture of sports and band, and church activities.
I married in June of 1983, and divorced in January of 1986. I married the best person in the world in Feb. 1987, and my daugher was born in Nov. 1987.
After High School I attended Sullivan Jr. College of Business, and have a diploma in Business Computer Programming. 1984, I worked for Central Bank in Lex. for a few months, then in 1984, transferred to Detroit with EDS as a mainframe systems operator, and later as lead operator I transferred to Dallas in 1985. After a strange ending to that career, I moved home to re-group. I worked in mainframe operations for Jerrico, and UK Med. Center in 1986 and 1987. In 1987 I worked for The Jockey Club and moved from mainframe operations to p.c. support in 1988, I was there in many roles mostly as a Network Engineer unti...Expand for more
l 1994. I was hired as a contractor at AiC and placed on the Lexmark Account in functional test, using many skills from previous jobs to test Network Adapters and Software. I became a Lexmark employee, and Test Team Coordinator in 1998, and love breaking things for a living. In 2003 I moved into management and Lexmark has been very good to me. I generally work 50-55 hours a week and this keeps me plenty busy. I have been able to travel too many places in the U.S. to name, but internationally - Australia, Peru, Brazil Argentina, Mexico, France, Germany and India.
I began officiating High School Football and Little League Baseball at the urging of a friend, in 1991, and for extra income. I have officiated several hundred football games, and gave up on Little League Baseball in 1996 for a new sport in KY, Fast Pitch Softball, I have officiated, hundreds of softball games including; 11 District, 10 Regional and 2 State Tournament game as well as Mid-South conference college games. Babe Ruth - League games, 10, 12, 14 and 16u State Tournaments, and 12u Ohio Valley Regional tournament, and two World Series. This is what I really Love.
I currently coach 1st and 2nd basketball, 11 & 12 year old football, 16 and under softball for fun.
