Life
Greetings to all classmates.
Well I've spent most of my time in CA. I had a tour in Thailand, spent 6 months at Myrtle Beach, 23 years at Norton AFB, and now the last 5 years at March ARB. I completed my Degree at CAL Poly, Pomona. I will finish out of Civil Service in 9 months. I can't retire from the Reserves because of Stop Loss. So I will hang in there until the war is over. I might leave for Incirlik AB Turkey in March for maintenance support of the C-141C. I returned from an ICE mission to Christchurch NZ last Oct 2001. I was able to make it to McMurdo Station Antarctica. My wife of 32 years Maria, retired this year. My boy graduated from UCLA in the spring. He is staying with my brother Rudy in Virgina. He is working in Maryland. My oldest daughter is a ref at Orange County for High School and college basketball. My youngest daughter is working for Adelphia cable.

November 2010 Update
Rudy called me from Alaska and invited me to read his story in classmates.com. Well I decided I needed to update mine as well. I have retired from the USAF Reserve at March ARB and Civil Service. I am still living in Highland CA. We are hoping to sell our 2 story house and move into a single story house or a retirement community. My son Eric is living in Chicago. My oldest daughter Gina is a CHP officer working out of the East LA office. My youngest daughter Brenda is working for Ontario 911 dispatch. No one is married and we have no grandchildren.

old prospecting. I am a member of GPAA and we have meetings and go out looking for gold. Sometimes we even find some. I am also a dozer. I go out with divining rids and when the rods cross I just dig up the gold. I also take pictures of orbs when I am in old gold mines or places where people have died but decided not to leave our environment. I will post a picture of an orb in my photos. This was taken at the Gold Mountain Mine at Big Bear. I also go out looking for coins with a metal detector. Some clubs have coin hunts which are a lot of fun.
I try to visit Rudy in Alaska once a year. I go space "A" from North Island. My daughter has a time share and she lets us use it once in a while. We were at Maui for a week in the summer.
My profile picture is from a pheasant hunt at Pixley. I was there a few weeks ago. The Lions Club runs it. It is by Bakersfield.
When I go back to Alaska, I plan to stop by Independance Gold Mine and collect some gold rocks that I find in the tailings. I was there this summer and collected a lot of them. I didn't have any means of extracting the gold so I left them at Rudy's place. The Post Office will ship up to 70lbs in one of their boxes for $10. So I will ship all the rocks home.
I also attend the Norton AFB monthly retirement meeting. It is great talking with old friends. Sometimes I will get them to come out with me looking for gold. A lot of the guys have a lot of free time and they need to get out for some exercise.
