Charles's Story

Life Hello fellow Verdugo classmates. It's hard to believe how fast life is going by! After getting out of Verdugo in 1979, I attended Glendale C.C. and worked at a sporting goods store. I then transfered to UCSB and spent about 2 years there. I then transfered to Cal Poly in SLO and got a BSLA, that's landscape architecture. I moved to Palm Springs for my first job, then Beverly Hills, then Westlake Village, finally in Santa Barbara. I worked for LA firms in each of these cities. I got licensed to practice in 1989. Due to the low wages the firms offer, I split out on my own, in 1990. I have been in private practice as a landscape architect in Santa Barbara ever since. I have 1 full time employee, a fellow C.P. g...Expand for more
rad. I got married in '92. Have 2 daughters, first in '97 and the second in '99. Live in our second house. Santa Barb. is expensive and getting more crowded all the time. It has changed quite a bit in the (now) nearly 20 years that I have been here. I am quite surprized by how quickly time has past since HS grad. Sad life is so short. I am trying to really enjoy it as it goes by. Not working too much. Spending as much time as possible with the kids and free time. Never blowing off vacations, well almost never. I strive to keep life simple. Less stuff and less on the calender frees up your mind, rather that occupying it with management of all sorts of stuff. Write me and let me know what's up.
