Charles's Story

Life Let's see here, post High School is really where I figure "real life" started. I must admit, I was pretty bummed out at life for various reasons during High School -- but it all got better... a lot better afterward. Immediately after graduation I worked for Intuit as a customer service rep. I worked there for around only 6 months before I moved to Michigan to live with my Mother's family. I worked various jobs up there while attending Community College and began training in the Bujinkan. I acquired an Associates degree in Liberal arts and trained in the martial arts for about 5 years before I joined the Air Force to become a computer programmer. I acquired another 2 year degree from the Air Force while I was stationed in Nebraska near Omaha. My job is to teach other software developers about computer programming languages. I travelled to Japan in 2004 before I joined the service and the wife and I would like to travel abroad some more before "settling down". In late 2006 I deployed to "southwest asia". I aspire to become a video game developer since that has been my hobby since High School and either work for an already established game company using my demos, or go it alone and start my own business once I leave the Air Force in 2008. I hope to finally have my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2009 -- even though I only have 4 semesters left to get it, I can't seem to focus enough on work and school to finish it before I get out. If the game development thing falls through, I have considered returning to the service as an officer.
