Charles's Story
Hi everybody that remembers me. I was one of two American Indian students who attended Carbon from 68 to 70. I was also part of the first freshmen class at Mont Harmon. I played basketball in the 8th grade for Wellington, as a freshmen for Mont Harmon and for Carbon in high school. You may have seen me a lot with Rufus Ellington who was a good friend. I reside in Peach Springs, Az. where I raise 'Beefmaster' cattle. I have also served as chairman of my tribe and presently will be serving a four year term as a council member for my tribe. I left all my skinny clothes in Wellington where I lived with the Alger (Kim) family. I'm fighting the battle of the bulge and old age....Expand for more
If your doing the same you may still feel like me, that your seventeen; I know I do. I ride a 'Triumph' Bonneville just because everybody else rides a Harley. Is that anti-establishmentarianism or what? I'm married but I won't give away the emotional state since that's something that's always in flux. I have four boys and one daughter who is fifteen. I'm also raising a niece and nephew who are the children of my youngest brother who passed away when they were three weeks and 22 months of age, respectively. I like listening to the XM radio in my dually. At any rate I'd like to catch up with everyone who remembers me, like the song says 'For the good times', Charlie Vaughn
