Charles's Story
Life
After graduation I attended WSU for a time. I also worked at a clinical lab and gas stations (remember full service?). In 1973 I met my future wife while working at the lab and she was working at Wesley Hospital. We married on Feb. 2, 1974. On August 24, 1975, Linda and I were blessed with the birth of our twin sons Jason and Jeremy.
I worked after that at Boeing and Lear and in 1977 went to work on the Sedgwick County Sheriff Dept. I stayed there until 1985 and returned to Boeing. I worked as a Security Guard and returned to college. I finished my BS at Friends in Dec. 1987 and my MBA at WSU in 93. I worked at Boeing as a Buyer and in 2000 left to work in Iowa at Vermeer Mfg. as an Engineering Buyer in New Product Development. I also was an Adjunt Instructor at Cowley Co...Expand for more
llege for5 years. I live in a real "Hooterville" town of Prairie City, IA. now and we look forward to travel and retirement.
Well, that gig lasted 8 months and I spent 4 months out of work. I am soon moving to a house in Mt. Holly, NC outside of Charlotte. I work at Curtiss Wright Flight Systems.
And now it is 2008 and Linda and I live in Mount Holly, NC (just outside of Charlotte, NC). I work for General Dynamics in Detection/ Protection. We make Chem/Bio warfare detectors, IED jammers and other support for the warfighters.
Many of you knew my sister Kathy '71. She passed away on 1/13/07. She had a lot of medical problems.
We have 2 soon to be adopted granddaughters. We are active in our church and I hunt with a great bunch of guys.
