Charles's Story
I started S.W.O.C.C. fall of '72', then took a year off after fall term '73', finished spring '75'.
Worked as a mechanic for several years, various locations.
i even worked as a r.v. repairman for a few years.
Spent some time working on stock cars.
went to Canada working in the logging industry for a few months.
Came back and worked at a auto dealership in Coos Bay, for a few years.
then went into the military, took several college courses while i was active duty.
i received my Power plant engineers certificate while in Illinois.
I spent free time sprint car racing, a bit of gold mining, hiking and surfing, depending on where i was located.
i was stationed, in various locations, like: California, Illinois, Hawaii and Japan.

d ship served as air traffic control, missile support, both during the 1st gulf war. i then taught power plant and propulsion system operators for the U.S. Navy until my contract ran out.
i then went back to school. while working part time, i attended both Lane community and George Fox University.
i received my Bachelors degree from G.F, in three years.
i then worked for the Oregon department of employment, until i retired.
i spent part of a term as member of a city council, i was hoping to help solve some challenges the city was dealing with. instead, i found that i didn't have the personality to deal with true politicians and people with personal agenda's.
now, i'm a gypsy, following the wind and roads, exploring America, catching up with friends and meeting new ones.
