Charles's Story
Life
After GHS I moved to Va.Beach and attented Chesapeake College near Great Bridge. It's now named TCC.I was a lifeguard for the Va.Beach Patrol for several years.My name is in the Lifeguard Station Museum on 24th street in Va.Beach. I attented VCU on an art scholarship and played Club football for the school.As you all know VCU does not have a football team. But in 1969 we started a team and played schools like St. Pauls,Catholic Un.,Nicholls State,and Steubenville College,Ohio. We were just featured in Richmond Magazine as VCU's only football team.After graduation I taugh and coached football in the Lynchburg area and Kempsville HS, Va. started my medical sales career and sold medical equipment for 25 years. In 1995 I founded The Eldridge Co.,Inc. We help hospitals,corporations and government departments in fundraisers and health fairs.My oldest daughter Jennifer graduated from VPI and lives in LA. She works in TV and has done shows like Deal or No Deal,Fear Factor,The Bachlor and is working on several TV shows for this fall.She just finished a play and received very good reviews for her leading part.My son Bo went to Bluefield College on a baseball scholarship and now works for American Family Gym. My two youngest children are still in highschool and middle school.They are into music and sports.We live in Hanover Co. just outside of Richmond,Va.
