Charles's Story
After graduating in 1965, went on to join the Air Force in July of that year. Completed basic military training at Lackland AFB, Texas and technical training in Aerospace Life Support at Chanute Technical Training Center near Chicago,Illinois and went off to join the Vietnam conflict. Survived that ordeal with the help of the Almighty and returned to the States in 1967 with a posting in New Mexico at Cannon Air Force Base. d,England, Uk, Illinois, Wichita Falls,Texas, RAF Lakenheath,England,UK, Great Torrington,Devon, England, UK, Takhli, Thailand, UTapao, Southeast Asia. and finally-Homestead AFB, Miami,Florida. I retired in 1985 from the Air Force, moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1986 and became a Bioenvironmental Engineering Technician for the U.S. Navy at NAS Jacksonville for the next 20 years until I retired in 2006. Since then I have been traveling and enjoying life after 41 years of active work-life. Life has been great, so far.
