Charlie's Story
I'm probably remembered best (in at least high school) as the "class clown".
Well, this "class clown" dropped out of high school (FHS - it bored me), went out right away and got my GED & then went on to college with an AA in music, a minor in drafting and a BSc in electrical science.
I owned a successful electrical contracting business which extended 3 states; Arizona (Alchar Electric Co.), Illinois and Kentucky (Alchar Power Service). I paid off a 30-yr mortgage in 8 yrs and paid for my next 2 houses with cash, owning, at one time, 4 houses outright in two states.
We now reside in Sun City, AZ - retired at age 55 - with a very nice investment nest-egg.
- - Not bad for the "class clown", eh?
I got into performing comedy magic and performed in the Phoenix area for several years...Expand for more
. An agent in North Hollywood, CA saw my act and wanted to book me for the road. So I took a sabbatical from the electrical trade for a couple of years and went into magic full time on the road. Although I'd had enough and sold most of my props years ago, I find myself retired and missing the stage. I'm seriously thinking of getting back into it.
We have 6 children, 14 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
I've gotten emails from some people who knew me and have "vocalized" their head-scratching about some of the schools I have listed. Once again - - I didn't go to some of the schools in my profile but know several people who did & want to get and/or stay in touch with them via Classmates.
