David's Story
Life
Retired USAF Colonel having spent almost 28 years on active duty. My career field was aircraft maintenance and logistics. Served in southeast Asia during the Vietnam era in Thailand at an airbase at Udorn. Participated in operations Linebacker I and II. Follow on assignments were in Strategic Air Command, Tactical Air Command, NATO, and Air Education and Training Command (AETC). While assigned to the NATO alliance, served with the Airborne Early Warning and Control Systems Force Command HQ at SHAPE Belgium. Deployed to Saudi Arabia during the Iran-Iraq war and Desert Storm. Additionally, performed duty as an aircraft accident investigation team member. Final assignment was as Deputy Director for Maintenance, AETC. Retired from active duty in 1998.
During a break in active duty due to health issues, worked as a crime analyst for the Fort Worth Police department.
After retirement, performed consultant work for the Boeing corporation, worked several part-time jobs including sales clerk, caregiver, and substitute school teacher.
Performed volunteer work with the Phoenix Police department in the Crime Analysis and Research Unit. Presently do volunteer work with the Sedona Police department.

my wife on a blind date at the Phoenix Playboy Club. Married her in May, 1969. We have one daughter, Stephanie.
Graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Political Science in 1967 and completed Master of Public Administration degree from Texas Christian University in 1976.
Performed with the Mesa (AZ) Caledonian bagpipe band and my hobbies include playing my string bass (very rarely now), collecting baseball cards, and travelling.

Workplace
After military retirement I was a substitute school teacher in Arizona. I now do volunteering for the local police department.
Military
I retired from the U.S. Air Force as a colonel in 1998. My career field was in aircraft maintenance and logistics. I served tours of duty in southeast and southwest asia, during Vietnam (served in Thailand, was not "in country") and Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm. I served two tours in NATO with the NATO airborne warning and control systems headquarters, SHAPE Belgium. My final assignment was as assistant director for maintenance, HQ AETC.
