Charlotte's Story

I married mid-term of my senior year (Dec 1965) and moved to Oklahoma. Have lived "here, yon and there" for years but have lived in the Austin area since (1984). Still married to the same guy (and they said it wouldn't last!!) We have two children Tracy and Wally Jr. Tracy lives in Austin and has 4 boys and Wally Jr lives in Chicago and has one boy - yes, 5 grandsons!! Love them all!! Georgetown now but it is still close to Austin and all it's weirdness!! That's my story in a teeny-tiny nutshell. Some of you might remember my brothers-Roy, Jack and David Compton even if you don't remember me. Roy lives in Brazoria, TX, Jack lives in Bartlesville, OK and David passed away on October 5, 2012 in Cookeville, TN. Both of my parents are gone (Dad in 1999 and Mom in 2011). Would love to hear from anyone who wants to hear from me!!

Can't believe he is 16 on May 1st!! My grandson, Lucas, celebrates a milestone this year. This is his birthday cake - carrot cake (from scratch) with cream cheese icing and decorated with him on a Segway.

We just got back from Wesley Chapel Cemetery where my Daddy and Momma are buried. It has been almost 13 years since my sweet Daddy died and a year to date from the day my wonderful, beautiful Momma passed from this world.
