Charlotte's Story
I retired in 2011 from being a church secretary. Before that I was a Radiologic Technologist.Those are my two favorite jobs. I am enjoying retirement. I live here in Texas but travel between here, Kentucky and Colorado to visit my children and friends. When I am at home I play and sing solo in the Happy Strings Ukulele Band. We perform 40's, 50's,and 60's music, both gospel and popular music of the times..We play at Senior adult facilities all over our area from September thru July, once a week.We give the residents of these facilities either a book of Christmas poetry or a calendar for the current year. I am the one who makes these up. I am very busy with that.It is a full time job!The rewards are tremendous. I write poetry. I have published one book and have another one I want to publish. I have to find the time to get it in publisha...Expand for more
ble form. I am busy all the time. When did I have time for a regular job? Life is good. I am involved in my church, with my friends and family. My most immediate goal is to sell my house and move into a nice apartment so that someone else can be responsible for all the upkeep! I can do lots of different kinds of crafts but am currently into woodburning. There is never a dull moment at my house. My children and grandchildren keep me occupied. They live in Kentucky and are all busy with jobs and college(the grandsons). My eldest son is the medical staff( manager) for the Louisville Cardinals Ice Hockey Club. He is a nurse and serves in a dual roll with them. My other son is a high school teacher. He has a lot more nerve than I do! Brave boy that one! As life is a continuing saga, stay tuned. There is no telling where you will find me next.
