Charlotte's Story
Charlotte's schools include Cocoa High School, Orange Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, University of West Florida for double bachelor degrees, and University of Alabama for a Masters in Cardiovascular Nursing. Worked and taught Critical Care nursing, was a Clinical Nurse Specialist, nursing educator, and speaker at numerous seminars including cruises and in Mexico. Married three times, no children. Received another Masters Degree at St. Thomas University of Miami in Health Management, and returned to school at age 50 to take courses at the U of F to become a Nurse Practitioner. Lived all over in Florida, the last 24 years in Gainesville. Absolutely loved her career. Likes to read, travel, various hobbies, and garden.
Retired at age 65, and moved to Panama for most of the time with her father (it was his idea). Now involved in the local community theater doing wardrobe for plays, the local Hospice Foundation where needed, and fostering dogs looking for new homes, as well as helping intermittently at other charities. Too young to slow down! ....although sleeping late most mornings still feels like a luxury.
