Charlotte's Story
I am married, I have 5 children and 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. I am retired now but I did work as an assistant Office Manager for Beltone Hearing Center, and for Sears. I was Charlotte Wilkes just one of the many that went to Wasson. I never did anything outstanding I just loved school. Most of you will not remember me, my most outstanding feature was my red hair. I still have some red hair with a lot of white mixed in. I didn't actually graduate with my class, I only went through the 11th grade but it would be nice to talk to someone who does remember me. I did graduate from a different school but I really did not know any of those kids. I went on to college and did get my nursing license and worked labor and delivery for 12 years...Expand for more
. Got burned out and retired. Went to work in a factory building metal chair fames and upholstering same. Retired after 20 years. I still enjoy life very much.
I was trying to think of the wildest thing I ever did in school. I was a knowbody in class I tried to be as invisible as I possibly could be. I was always very shy about my red hair and freckles. So I tried not to stand out in the crowd any more than was necessary. I guess about the wildest I was, was sitting on the back seat of the school bus with the "wild children". We actually had fun!!!!! I use to go rollar skating a lot down there just off 25. (Can't do that anymore lol). My best friend was Joann Brantley and we are still friends today. Miss all of you here in Tennessee... Come visit...
