Charnetia's Story
Hey Guys,
Here are some little details to help you catch up on my life...if you're interested.
I moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma around 1970. I actually live in Broken Arrow, a Tulsa suburb. I originally went to beauty college and became a cosmetologist, in the early '70's. After a year or so of doing that, I decided since I had worked in management at Penney's in California, I would go back to Penney's. While working there, I met my future husband, (we have been married 35 years). I left Penney's and took a management position at Target Stores. After becoming pregnant with my first son, I quit working and was an at home mom. When I returned to the work force, I became a public relations representative for McDonalds. Continued my education, had a second son, and eventually started working for Tulsa Public Schools. I then changed school districts and went to Union Public Schools, a smaller school district, servicing both Tulsa and Brok...Expand for more
en Arrow residents. The district was more advanced in the technology field and since that is what I was teaching, it was in my best interest to relocate. This last year I decided I had enough technology and demoted myself to Pre-k. What fun those littles ones are on a daily basis! I could retire but I am having way too much fun playing with the little ones everyday. I can really relate to the little guys, since I have a four year old granddaughter. I also have one that just turned a year old. My 30 year old son has been married for 8 years. My 29 year old son is getting married for the first time in May of this year. I love to oil paint. I belong to the Tulsa Town Tolers and Decorative Society. I am very active in my church...being the praise and worship leader, and women's ministries leader. It doesn't seem like it has been 40 years since high school. My how time flies when you are enjoying life to it's fullest. God bless.
