Cheri's Story
Hi! This is Cheri Simonis~ Mooney ~ Smart. I got married to Wayne Mooney in November 1971. We lived here in LaGrande after getting married. We have 3 awesome kids. I am extremely thankful I was able to be a stay at home Mom. We now have 6 fantastic Grandchildren. We have 5 boys and 1 girl from ages 15, 10, 9, 6, 5, and 2. In 1980 Waynes job moved us to Yakima Wa. We lived there for 6 months, We then moved to TriCities Wa. Where Wayne started to work for Handford. Wayne and I divorced in December 1993. In1995 I met Bob, we were married in March 1996. Four months later Bobs job moved us to North Carolina, we lived there for 6 months. We were then moved to Denver Co. Where we lived for 11/2 years. While we lived there I received training to become a Florist, I then worked in a floral shop which get this! It was call Cheri...Expand for more
's Flower Patch. Worked there one year. I then got the news I was going to be a grandmother. So Bob got a job in Leavenworth Wa. I also got a job as a Florist. We lived there from 1998 to 2004. In 2004 we moved back to the TriCities ,with Bobs job. Two years later Bobs job once again moved us. This time to BirchBay Wa. In 2008 we are moving again, this time to Cabo San Lucas Mexico. Which was totally awesome, we got to live there for one year. We then moved back to BirchBay Wa. Then in October 2012, I divorced Bob, and moved back to LaGrande, now here I am ! I do have awesome times with all my Grandkids, and my children. Jason my middle child has 2 step children a boy and girl, and with Bobs 3 kids I have two step Grandkids one boy ,and one girl. Which I still see. This makes me a Grandmother of 10😃How about that !
