Wow!! Fifty years since I was in high school. A lot has changed since those years of innocence and dumb. More dumb than anything else. My first marriage was awful. He ended up in prison but I always thought that was where he belonged. I was over 60 when I found out why he was sent to McNeil Island, which is for sex offenders. How did I miss that? My second marriage is so much better. I met this sailor in a bar my girlfriend dragged me to (still hate bars). He had orders for Norfolk, Virginia and he said come to Virginia and I'll take care of you. So I did and he did and we've been together for over 42 years now and I'd marry him again and spend another 42 years with him if I could. I laugh when I remember my father telling me, "You're a girl, you don't need college. You'll marry some guy, have a bunch of kids and never have to work a day in your life."
