Cheri's Story
Life
I now go by the name Cheri, have since Fall '73. Remarried in 2000 after 11 years of single parenting. I have 2 great girls, Jennifer was born in '85 and Melissa, born in '87. The girls were born in Western Montana, where I lived for 17 years and I really do miss it all the time!!
I decided on a career change after my divorce. Moved to the "Mid-West" (rrrright....) and got my Master's in Physical Therapy in Dayton, OH. Discovered that, as a single parent, I could make ends meet better staying here than if I returned West. The wages higher and the cost of living lower. I have worked in several different Physical Therapy settings, just trying to find a niche that fits and that I like. Currently, I am doing Home Health Physical Therapy, which I find myself returning to and it has become my PT area that I love. And... so time flys by... and I am still here.
I have a wonderful 'better-half' and it seems like we are mired here for a while...Expand for more
longer by circumstances. We live in an apartment surrounded by cats and numerous reptiles (yes, they are my 'kids' and hubby has learned to like them too). Both of the girls are going to different Universities near home. So, until they head farther away, we will keep calling this area our home. When the girls depart this area, then we too will depart and most likely head back to God's country - Montana.
My younger sis lives in California and we see very little of each other with large blocks of years without visits. My oldest brother is dead, died in '95 in a car accident. My other brother lives in Missouri and we also only talk once in a blue moon. His life was never easy. Last time we were together was in 1982. But life goes on and on.
My deepest and most precious wish and desire is for My Saviour to come now! Come Lord Jesus, Come. Even if I am not one of the Redeemed, I still exclaim with all my heart... Come Lord Jesus, Come!!
