Cheryl's Story
Geez, 40 years, where has the time gone? Living in Olathe, with my husband, Mike. We married in 1992. And of course, my mom who will be 82 in January.
My step-daughter, Stacy, and her family are preparing to move to South Carolina next week. Sure going to miss my grandkids, Austin-17, Paige-12 and Boden who is 9. Still have step-son Jason and his son, Brody, almost 2 living in Gardner.
Working as a bookkeeper at Green Lantern Car Wash, and have since they opened in 2008. Great hours, come and go as I please. My general manager is young enough to be my son, as is most of the crew. The kids are the same age as Austin, so I get called mom and grandma alot.
Lost my brother Dan to cancer in March 2008 and lost brother Jack to...Expand for more
the same cancer in July 2010. I sure do miss them both terribly. Dan and his wife, Kim, and Mike and I used to do lots of things together. Jack and I had weekly gab sessions on Friday night. Losing Dan was so quick, didn't really have time to react. Jack's was a longer process. Kim is dating a guy that looks just like Dan, only taller. It's kind of freaky. First time we met him, I burst into tears and ran out of the room. He is a really sweet guy and we enjoy his company. I think Dan would be happy that Kim found someone.
Mike and I have two Yorkie dogs, Benjamin and Simon. Dan insisted we get them as he and Kim enjoyed theirs (4) so much. They are like our kids we never had together.
