After EHS I went to Palomar for 2 years and got my AA in 1968. I worked at Palomar Hospital for 6 years in the business office and in Municipal Court in Oceanside/Vista for a while. Married for the 2nd time at 30 to oa career military guy and moved around the country and even to Europe which I loved. (Germany) Divorced again and on my own ever since then. But that is how I ended up in El Paso, TX.
I worked for the City of El Paso for 17 1/12 years. The firsth 6 years for the Police Dept., and then in a public library. Since I still love to read, it was great to be around all those books, but no time to read on the job!
In Feb, 2011, I retired to come back to Escondido to live with my mother after my father's passing. Let me tell you, deja vu...after 45 years, I am back in my old bedroom!
I have so many happy memories of high school,(and some not-so-happy) and lots of those memories involve many of you. Please just say "hi", I would love to hear from you!
Well, this is the short version of mi vida....it has really not been quite this boring!!!

What a great time we had at the 50th year Escondido/Orange Glen reunion. Friday night at Stone was, as we now say, awesome. The party at Teddy's Saturday night was so much fun. And so relaxed. And we had music from some of our classmates, that was really outstanding.
And what can be said about the Escondido high school 50+ reunion!!! Around 700 people attended. Class of 66, I think, had the most people present (with graduates and guests) of any of the classes. Invocation by coach "Chick" Embry, presentation of the colors by Boy Scouts. And the memory boards for each class are remarkable. Of course ours is the BEST one.
Cougars, mark your calendars for next year, the weekend after Mother's Day. Plan ahead for the 50+ picnic. The date is May 20, 2017. Grape Day Park, 11:00 AM.
We had video of the events. We will be having DVDs for sale sometime around July. So if you were there and want to have memories on DVD, or if you wish you had been there or if you just want to take a peek at your old friend...Expand for more
s to see what they look like now...you will want to get one of these.

I am so sorry to report that there is no reunion video available. The videographer disappeared and we have been unable to track him down. Such a huge disappointment to the committee. and to those who had wanted to have these events recorded.
Now, we have already been meeting for the ESCONDIDO 50= GOLDEN REUNION PICNIC, The next meeting is Jan 18 at 8:45 am at the Escondido Police Headquarters on Center City Pkwy. Please join us if you are an EHS grad, Class of 67, 66, or 65, live within a reasonable driving distance, and want to have a part in this amazing event. Contact me if you want more information.
Also, EHS/OG Class of 66....we are planning a 70th Birthday Bash in 2018. No details yet, but it is in the works.
On the personal side, I am still living with Mom. We have lovely helpers from a home health agency every day to help care for Mom. And Elizabeth Hospice has wonderful support people working with us. My son is still in Boulder, CO and just married his lovely sweetie in October, his daughter (my only grandchild) is a Freshman at University of North Texas, and my daughter is still in LA. My brother's son moved to LA this Fall, so we are glad to be able to see him more often than all the years he lived in NY.

Merry Christmas and happy new year to all!
Escondido Cougars… We are busy planning the 50+ reunion picnic for May 19,2018. 😊. Check out the Escondido High 50+ Reunion page on Facebook.
2017 was a year of great change for me as my mother passed away in February. However I am still living in her house in Escondido. My nephew just moved to La Jolla from Los Angeles, so I’m glad he’s very close now.
I’m looking forward to many new beginnings in 2018, and wish the best for each of you.
December 23, 2019 merry Christmas and happy new year! I’m writing this from New Orleans Louisiana where I’m visiting my son and daughter-in-law. The plan is that I will go home and sell my parents house and then move down here to Louisiana. A new adventure!
