Cheryl's Story
Since 1974 so many things have happened - some of them good like getting married 6 weeks after graduating high school, having two beautiful children, and two wonderful grandkids - some of them sad like both my sister Laurie and my brother Bruce and my dad passing on. I miss them a lot - its just mom and I left in the Caplan family.
I have worked for the Dept.of Veterans Affairs for almost 20 years and enjoy my job as an education specialist.
I have lived in the same place for the last 20 years (since Bob my husband retired from the Army). We live in the high desert of California in Palmdale. We have really hot summers and really cold winters. We live a simpl...Expand for more
e life that involves good friends,lots of church activies, and family time. My mom lives in the house directly across the street so it has been great to be able to spend time together. She has been a blessing to us.
My son (and his family)is in the Army and is currently stationed in Texas he is awesome. My daughter is living at home and pursuing higher education. Hopefully with her eye on getting a degree in Nursing.
Hopefully in a few years we will retire. We don't know if we will stay in this area or not. Texas has a way of calling you back. We lived there for 5 years and really loved it. a lot depends on where the kids and grandkids are at that time.
