I've worked for the Division of Employment Security for 22 years.
From 1993-Jan 2008 I worked in the Appeals Section for the agency. I was responsible for seeing that the decisions of the Appeals Tribunal were accurate and information was entered into the agency's computer database concerning the decisions before they were mailed.
In January 2008, I was promoted and now I work in the Benefits section processing regular unemployment claims, disaster & extended unemployment claims as well as training claims.
I've been a Girl Scout leader for over 20 years.
I've lived my entire life in the central Missouri area. Why leave a good place.
In 5 years I'll be eligible to retire from the state. My first grandchild will be born this summer. Took my first cruise this past September. It was great!! I would hope to be able to take a cruise every couple of years. Hawaii first then Alaska and then down to Austra...Expand for more

My first job was at a neighbor's , where I got paid 50 cents an hour to babysit their 4 children. What I remember most about it is the baby wouldn't let me near him. He screamed and cried and fought me. The four year old girl had to be nearby to touch and talk to him. She even had to "assist" with diaper changing. I was around 10 years old.
Update Oct 2014:
Thursday, July 31, 2014 was my last day with the State of Missouri at Employment Security, I retired after 28 years and 8 months. I was retired for three days. On Monday, August 4, I began working at Missouri Farm Bureau. I love it!
Cruises: Canada/Eastern USA, Australia, Western Caribbean, Alaska so far. Plan to go to Hawaii next year.
I now have three grandsons. Sion is 5, John is 3 and Athan is 1. And yes, I do spoil them. The oldest one has epilepsy, ADHD, and just recently we learned he is ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder).
I am still a Girl Scout leader. This may be my last year with a troop. Urging the girls to go independent and I'll advise or assist them if they need it. I also lead a Quest group. (Children range in age from 3 years to 14 years)
