Cheryl's Story
Life
After "graduation" from SJA, I continued my HS education at Grandview HS. Did volunteer work for the Leukemia Society, MS society Read-A-Thon project in the elementary schools, & MDA Telethons. I also took several classes in Public Speaking, Television production & Journalism at Wright State U & OSU.
In 1995, our family moved to CA, where we moved from house to house in the central Orange County area (Long Beach, Huntington Beach & finally Los Alamitos). For the last 27 years, I've been putting my Journalism skills to use by running a fan Club for the Cassidy Family (David, Shaun, Patrick, & Ryan & their mom Shirley Jones).
I recently moved to a 55+ active adult community in Banning CA, a desert community West of Palm Springs, where I am involved in the Drama & Friendship clubs.
I love travel, & have devoted most of my travel time to going to Vegas- not to gamble but to see the shows & absorb the atmosphere. I love getting together with old friends, so stay in touch!
Love to Cruise (Carnival & RCC)

Workplace
Mostly Volunteer work- starting with traveling to elementary svhoos to promote the MS Read-a-thon (you'd never recognize me in that hound dog mask & sherlock Holmes costume!) Then I participated in most Jerry Lewis MDA Telethons by answering phones & taking pledges. When I learned that Shirley Jones supported Leukemia, our club, Friends of the Cassidys, also raised money for them, presenting checks on the Televents & personally to Shirley & David.
My paid jobs included playing large animal characters & "santa-bells" at Lazarus Dept store & helping out at their Baby Animal Farm at Easter. I also was an over-night answering service for a Nurses's registry Service.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have cd player, suitcase, and cruise ship counters to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
My current age is 51. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead. I was so completely wrong.
