Cheryl Haegely:

CLASS OF 1962
San francisco, CA

Cheryl's Story

I attended Marinello School in S.F. after graduation while working for Pacific Telephone. Later, while working for the City of San Francisco, I applied for a "Stewardess" position for Western Airlines (later merged with Delta Airlines). During my 17 flying years I enjoyed many vacation trips all over the world. What a valuable experience! Also, during that time I was married for 13 years and had a beautiful daughter. After early retirement from the airlines, I worked in Personnel and also Employee Health for 11 years at Washington Hospital in Fremont, CA. Since I was commuting to Brentwood daily I quit the hospital and worked...Expand for more
as office manager for an Orthopedic Surgeon in Antioch, CA. I really enjoyed scheduling surgeries. I am now retired permanently. Since my domestic partner has had heart/kidney transplant my time is mostly consumed with his medical problems (this was his 2nd heart transplant). We have a motorhome and try to take small trips whenever we can. Our home on wheels allows us to take our two dogs (Cairn and Westie Terriors). I still see my friend Kathy (Minen) Parker from my grammar, junior and high school years. Kahy and I were probably known for our outlandish hairstyles we acquired as hair models for a downtown hairdresser...wow!
