Cheryl's Story
I was in Hobbs beginning my 5th grade year (Taylor Elementary), and I left after my sophomore year (1976). If I'd stayed, I would have graduated with the class of '78.
I moved to Wyoming and spent 2 1/2 years there, and a half year in Utah. Then I came back to Hobbs.
In 1982, I received my GED and began my college career. I received my bachelors degree in education in 1986 (summer) and my masters in education in 1987 (summer). I began my teaching career ...Expand for more
at Broadmoor Elementary in Sept. '87. I was there 5 years.
In 1992, we moved to Kansas, where we currently reside. We live way out in the boonies, and have a small "farm". At the moment, we have 6 dogs and 3 cats.
I'm currently an elementary school librarian. I'm also working on a masters degree in Instructional Design and Technology.
I miss Hobbs and being so far away from family. My parents have moved to Odessa, and my brother is in Arlington, TX.
