Cheryl's Story
In the last year, I have rediscovered my love of singing and dancing on the stage.
Participated in a Follies show in spring 2010 and realized I hadn't done that kind of stuff since Bowne...and it came very naturally to me... Thanks to my experience as a professional clown and many stage appearances throughout the years, I no longer get nervous. That feels good!
So since that Follies show, I've been in two original musicals, having hooked up with a terrific group of zanies and feel like I have found my theatre family. In the first play, I was a bearded Lady Godiva and the...Expand for more
second, just last month, a stripping Martha Raye impersonator and a Dandelion dancer....guess you had to be there!
Now I am in rehearsals for a local community theatre production of Lost In Yonkers, by Neil Simon. I think I got cast because of my authentic accent. Beth Ratzer, where are you? Everytime I hear Ethel Merman, you pop into my head.
Hubby remains very loving and supportive and encourages me in my several part time jobs and large chunks of rehearsal time away......
