Cheryl's Story
Life
I had a difficult childhood but I was blessed with the most wonderful Mom who I lost in 2000 from Brain Cancer. She was only 61 years old but I am grateful to my Father in Heaven for 44 wonderful years with her. I married my high school sweetheart, Bill Hoyt, and we have two beautiful children; Rochelle who is 21 and our son Casey who is 17. Bill and I have been blessed beyond words with a wonderful family. We are very close to our Savior and he is a part of every moment of our lives. Life has dealt my side of the family some really hard blows. My dad died 1 1/2 months before my mom and then almost two years after I lost my parents, my "little brother" Dean was murdered. If you would like to see my memorial on Dean go to pomc.org, click on murder wall and just search under "G". Sometimes we wonder why we are dealt these difficult hands but it is through our trials that we grow. I have always appreciated all that I have been given but even more now that I have lost so much. I read something once that said "...Expand for more
you can only have one thought at a time, so you might as well make it a happy one" and that is what I live by. Bill and I have had a wonderful marriage and often talk about how we were instant soul mates the day we met back in the summer of 1970. Ups and downs as with everyone but it has been and continues to be a wonderful journey with my love.
School
Well, my biggest crush was Toby in elementary school. If I could do it all over again, nope, i don't think so. Things happen for a reason even though some are hard to understand why. Sure, I would probably change a few things but I would not want to go back and do it all over again.
I like to be alone with my thoughts where there is peace and quiet.
My Mom..what an angel.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Steve Roland, because I want to tell him one more time how much he means to me..
LAKERS!!
Patience, patience, and more patience...
I share my home with husband & kids, which I find very normal.
Anna Diaz...we loved tether-ball!
