Cheryl's Story
Life
My Kids
All grown now, except one daughter who is a senior at a local high school. She is a founding member of her schools' bible club and is attending a missions college in Hungary in the fall. She is brilliant, blonde and beautiful. I see God has a plan for her life and I am so thrilled that she is willing to follow His plan...
I celebrate everytime I see a difficult or bratty child because my kids are grown. I intentionally avoid the baby aisle at the grocery store!
My Job
I love having my own insurance office. I work long hours but wouldn't trade it for anything! I am one of the blessed few who found the perfect career to suit my personality. I never dreamed I would end up selling anything. I always expected to be an english teacher or a social worker.
My Life
I had been with my husband since 1984. We have 5 children together and with my son from my first marriage(born during my junior year in high school), I have 6 of the greatest kids in the world. Husband left in 2005 and now life is awesome. I didn't think I would ever be ha...Expand for more
ppy again. I was SO wrong.
Now (2008) I have a terrific granddaughter who is just 1 1/2! So very exciting. I get to spend the whole evening with her tomorrow night.
She is going with me to a friends' Christmas party. She loves to play with other children. I can't wait to see them all together, running around and laughing.
For fun, I go to the movies and meet friends for coffee (much too often). I am a latte addict. I drive a car that likes to go too fast (I rarely hit people) but I do get a speeding ticket at least once a year.
As a born-again Christian, (24 years now) I spend a lot of time at church. I attend Calvary Chapel Spring Valley and have for 25 years.
The past:
I remember getting caught smoking by the "narc" in the bathroom at Burkholder. I remember the smoking area at Basic. I have a hard time imagining a smoking area at a public school or even smoking at all. I love my occasional drink, but I know I will never smoke again.
Have a super holiday everyone!
