Cheryl's Story
Life
Still living in the Creek.
Afer graduation I went to Bowling Green State University, Ohio. Spent summers working at Cedar Point, Sandusky Ohio. It was there I met people from DePauw University (and a boyfriend), and convinced my parents to let me transfer to DePauw in my Junior Year. Enjoyed DePauw immensely... a "small town" environment, and a small private school is very different from a large university. After graduation from DePauw, 1978, I moved back home. Started working on Master's in Business at Wright State University - but did not find it exciting. Got a job at Wright Patterson AFB in June 1979 - and have been there ever since.
Married in December 1979 - but divorced several years later in 1987. But left with two lovely boys Chris, born 1983, and Mike in 1984.
Mid-life decided I needed another degree... so I applied to law school. Started at University of Dayton School of Law in Fall of 2001, taking nine months of a sabbatical from work. Worked part time the remaining part of the three years of law school, shuttling back and forth from classes and working at HQ AFMC. I graduated from UDSL in May of 2004. Passed the July 04 Ohio Bar exam, and was admitted to the practice of law, November 2004.

ngaged to Amber, in June 2005, and they married June 2006, after knowing each other for over six years. That same summer
I bought a house, in July, and moved out of the condo in August 2006.
I really enjoy having a yard and gardens now - something that wasn't possible in a condo. Also do NOT miss climbing stairs in the condo....
Chris and Amber presented me with my darling grandson Ean - born May 2007 !!! He is now 2 years old (pictures in my picture file).
My son Michael still lives with me, economy hurt his livelihood - when the housing market tanked. He had been working for a high-end home builder. Right now he is just getting by with jobs he can find, working installing fences at the moment, but not thrilled about it.
I am still working at Wright-Patt AFB, after 28 yrs in Logistics Management at HQ AFMC I moved to AFSAC in Dec 2007 as a case manager for Foreign Military Sales. It's a new and exciting job. I have thirty years with the federal government as of June 2009.
I am still interested in glassworking, making beads for my small business DragonBeads (easily found by search on the web, or add that dot com thing to dragonbeads.....!).
I have two cats - Domino and Lola, and 5 pet chickens... (really!)
Drop me a line!
