Cheryl's Story
Cheryl is from Scotia, California. She is single and is a beloved aunt, but has no children of her own.
Cheryl's schools include Mission San Jose High School. Cheryl later attended Ohlone College (Spanish, Liberal Arts, EMT), Surgical Technology Inc. (Surgical Technician), Humboldt State University (Spanish, Art, Social Work).
She had several interesting jobs over the years including working ambulance in Fremont, Unit clerk/Disptacher/ E.R. Cheryl has enjoyed the varieties life offers as she has met many new people and followed her passions where they led her. One of her most memorable experiences was going to Guatemala as a Surgical Tech. Speaking Spanish, her days not only consisted of many obstetrical surgeries, but translation in the morning clinic and at medical rounds in the evening. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Cheryl continues to pursue her art in retirement, and lives with/cares for her father in Humboldt County. Having come full circle, Cheryl lives less than 8 miles from the town of her birth and loving living amongst the redwoods at the ocean's edge.
