Cheryl's Story
You will remember me a Cherie Lewis -- active in drama and Democheries (sp) while in High School. After leaving Franklin I married Richard Hansen, We divorced in 1987 and I met and married a Welshman (Brinley Morgan) and moved to the UK. No children from my first marriage but 3 wonderful stepchildren and a grand-daughter in my second marriage.
I worked as a telephone operator for Ma Bell and went to Seattle Community College and University of Washington to earn degree's (BA,, Masters and Ph.D. in Education)
I have spent my working life in education as a special needs teacher, High School Principal (Scriber Lake High School, Edmonds followed by Foster High School in Tukwila).
Since moving to the UK I continued in education until my retirement from the Department of Education, Wales, in July 2009. Enjoyed volunteer work as Chair of Truste...Expand for more

I have slowed down in the past few years. Continued as Chair of Governors for Raglan Primary School and webmaster for Raglan Local History Group, Raglanpedia,Raglan Domesday, Raglan Local Parishes as well as a facebook group: Raglan District Roots.
I have wandering feet and love to travel to meet new friends and strengthen my relationships with old friends. Family and Community are most important to me -- oh and 'making a difference in the world' (I hope)
Update: 2016. Last summer as I was getting ready to celebrate my 75th Birthday I was diagnosed as early Alzheimers. This explains my issues with names and numbers etc. Pretty scary but I am surrounded with love and life. Enjoy every day - you never know what will come
