Cheryl's Story
Hi.After HS I went to Whitewater for 3 semesters, then got a job at Davies Insurance Agency while finishing up my Associate Degree in Accounting at WCTI. My boss sent me to a General Casualty Ins. Co. school in Madison, where I met Mark, and 1 1/2 yrs. later we were married, in Nov. 1980. Our first son, Matt, was born Dec. 22, 1981, and our second son, Kyle, was born Sept. 1, 1983. I worked with Mark until Matt was born, then did a few years with the Stoughton School District, and four years with the Stoughton Hospital. Other than that, I help out at our agency that we own, where Matt works with his dad. Kyle is in his second year of Law School at UW-Madison. Our whole family are BIG Badger fans, and Mark and I have had hockey, football and basketball tickets our whole married life. The boys even have their own tickets now!! It's a definate family thing!! We live on the lake north of Stoughton, Lake Kegonsa, and have for the past 19 years, so we do alot of boating, skiing, jetskiing, swimming, etc. We love to...Expand for more
travel, and took yearly trips around the country with the boys between their sports (both played basketball, baseball and football). Matt even played football for both Mercyhurst in Erie,PA and then Ripon College. My husband and I take yearly trips somewhere warm with a group of friends, and on our 25th did a 5-week trip to Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii. We have also been on several cruises, and I did a 14day cruise with my Mom from Amsterdam to Budapest last year, along with a 10day trip to Ireland with Mark this past Nov. We LOVE to travel. Other than that, we also have two cocker spaniels, Bart, 10, and Brownie, our newly rescued 2 yr old. Matt has a 5 yr old MiniPin named Snoop, and our grandson, Colyn, who is 14 months old. I keep busy with the family, playing bridge and euchre, reading, walking/running (I'm doing a half-marathon April 25th), crocheting, friends, and some volunteer work (I've been a Hospice Volunteer on/off for the past 15 years). I still love to talk, so some things never change!!!!
