Life,
I went to Heatherwood Elementary, Platt Junior High, spent half a year at Centaurus High School, and then transferred to Niwot High School where I graduated in 1981. I went to college at UNC in Greeley, Co. I then moved to Washington State in the mid 1980¿s.
I am married to the love of my life and have three boys. My husband, Dan, is a Chef for a waterfront seafood restaurant in Seattle and has worked for the same restaurant for 24 years. Zach graduated from Kamiak High School in June of 2008 and works for Discount Tire. He would like to continue his education in auto mechanics but has not yet decided upon a school. Jake is in the 8th grade and Josh is in the 4th grade. We have been extremely blessed with such wonderful boys. Jake¿s gift is sports, he is quite athletic and excels at everything he tries. Josh is more creative and loves to draw. I need to enter him in some contests because he has such a talent and would win for sure.
We absolutely love to travel. In the last three years, we have traveled to Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Maui, Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, Reno, Canada, California, and Colorado (finally saw Aspen for the first time after having lived in Colorado for 16 years) and are going to Cabo in February. ver been a jock and still don¿t have the coordination, or desire, for many outdoor sports but I¿m a great cheerleader. My husband, in his spare time, is a coach for Jake¿s soccer team. He also and played lead guitar in a classic rock/R&B band for years. I was their manager and went to every performance, but we eventually burnt out on all the late nights and called it quits. It¿s been almost three years but we still enjoy having our weekends free for other things.
I went to college for Accounting and stayed in the corporate world until 13 years ago when I quit my job to become self-employed and I am able to work from our home. I absolutely love my job.
My parents also moved from Colorado to Washington State shortly after I did. I have always been extremely close to them and we never lived more than 10 minutes apart. I¿m sad to say that my Dad passed away 9/2/06 from pancreatic cancer. He was only sick for one month and did not have to suffer much. It is the hardest thing I¿ve encountered thus far. I try and be there for my Mom as much as possible but she will never stop missing him. My brother and his family also live close so we all support each other.
That is pretty much my life over the last 30 years. I¿m still a type A personality, must be doing a zillion things at once (at full speed), and tend to talk way too much. Some things just never change.
