Cheryl's Story
Life
Retired in 2018 after 32 years at the University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, MO
Worked for 2 years at H&R Block learning about taxes. I have been working as a volunteer for AARP TaxAide for 3 years. I enjoy this much better than working for Block. I work one day a week doing the bookkeeping for a gentleman who owns rental properties. Erin and I remain close. He is finishing a master's in Occupational Safety and Health and will graduate in 2023. He works for the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, KS. He works in the HR department and serves as the Safety Coordinator. My brother Mark and his family all live in Inman, KS, including my 91-year old mother.

Much of my time is spent doing professionally-related tasks--I publish in the areas of accessibility issues, productivity, and training. Just completed a chapter for a book on the human side of working with electronic resources.
Single, but living with partner Don (for now)
1 son, Erin
Erin is divorced and no longer living with his wife Trisha -- she has 2 kids, adults now and out on their own. Erin came into their life when they were 2 and 4 and left the year Cameron graduated high school. Trisha has MS and she and Erin remain good friends. . It is very sad.
Don has two children: Bryan and Leah. Both are adults and have families of their own.
Both my Mother and Don's mother (as of Dec. 2022) are still with us. My Mom is in the nursing home in Inman, KS--close to my brother Mark and his family. My Mom is doing well as of this update, but her Parkinson's gets worse by the day. Don's mother lives with his older brother and his wife in Texas. My Mom is 91 and Don's mother is about 95.
