Cheryl's Story

I went to the UW for a year and then married my sweetheart. Later on I returned to college. It will be 49 years of marriage this spring and we're still going strong. We have one girl, 2 grandkids and one cat. We are rich in friends and enjoy life. We are retired and are nearly fulltime volunteers. I am involved in many musical activities including singing in a chorus, playing the piano for the Sing-along Gang and playing the clarinet in the Happy Wanderers. I...Expand for more
play about 8 to 10 gigs every month. I worked with seniors my entire life and now I am volunteering for seniors. My hubby and I are known as the Strolling Gardeners and put on a monthly program for seniors in Carnation. We also make historical displays around the Redmond area. If you are on facebook check out the facebook page for the Redmond Historical Society. I post there nearly every day. You can also look me up under Cheryl Strong Magnuson.

I didn't bring my skunk cabbage, but I like where we planted in near Gene's pool.
Obviously, I did not pick one of my trilliums for the program.
Japanese Rose / Kerria Japonica. I left the bug at home.
I did pick a couple silver dollar plants. They are also called Lunaria and Money tree plants.

South end of the building. There is some new white framework on this end since the last time I visited. That section will be an outdoors events terrace.

Do you remember the three sculptures from the city campus area? These are located on the west side of the building. The sidewalk you can see here leads out to the Sammamish River Trail.
