Cheryl's Story
I married Andy in May of 1987 . . . still madly in love! In November of 1990 I gave birth to our daughter Elizabeth(23), then in August of 1994 our son Andrew(19) was born. We later adopted in 2008 Brittney(20) and her brother David(16). I was born, raised and lived in the same house in Milwaukee until the day I married, then the 'moving around' began. Mequon,WI . . . uch, as my self esteem was virtually non existent, afraid of what people would think if they knew my real story. I made poor descisions and choices throughout my teenage life that I wish I could go back and undo. I only remember a handful of people from Custer, those few where ones that accepted me and encouraged me. I am thankful for you.
Late in my Senior year, I accepted that there is a God who loves me deeply, regardless of how screwed up, damaged and abused I was. He has since transformed my life, given me worth and purpose, and joy beyond anything I could have ever imagined.
