Jan's Story

Life Served 22 years in the United States Navy and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer in 1995. One year after retirement I entered into the field of emergency management (disasters, etc.) and have been employed in that area ever since. I worked at the county level for seven years and am presently working for the Federal goverment. In 2005 I earned my Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) certification/designation. ternational Association of Emergency Managers website (there are only about 1,000 of us world-wide). I have done more in my life than I ever thought was possible. All my kids are grown and my wife (Barbara from upstate New York) and I enjoy cruising the high seas and traveling. Plan on doing a lot of traveling when we finally retire. Also, one of these days would love to work in a soup kitchen or other establishment that serves the poor.
