Chip's Story

Life I graduated from Eastside high school in 1974 where I had the greatest time in high school. I made a lot of life long friends and I still see Mr. Dukes, and hear from Coach"Rabbit"Smith from time to time. They were very special to me as was Mr. Stokes. These men had a great impact on my life as did my Parents and Grandparents. Eastside was good for me because it allowed an average guy like me to play sports and socialize with out the politics of the older and wealthier high schools. That sometimes makes it tougher for an average guy like myself to fit in and build ones self esteem and confidence. That postive influence keep me from ever trying drugs or alcohol and to this day I never have or wanted to. f coaching high school football at Eastside for a number of years. At the same time I was a real cowboy on a horse and cattle ranch in Bradford County. After college I joined my Father in the family business. And then I started doing whats going to be my future retirement, buying and renting rental property. I now live in Suwannee, Florida with a great view on the famous Suwannee River. It's about two miles from the Gulf of Mexico where I boat,fish,and look at nature. Sometimes I just relax and smell the clean air, and feel the cool Gulf breeze, while it blows across me while drinking a big glass of ice cold ice tea. I still have a home and work in Gainesville where I operate a number of businesses. So to all of my classmates, teachers, and friends that had a postive impact on my life from the bottom of my heart...Thank You!!!!!!!! School I loved school I always did!!!
