Chip's Story
Life
I graduated from Auburn University and served in the Air Force as a pilot and instructor pilot.
I left the active duty AF in 1999 after being based in Texas (3 times), Arizona, and Alaska and joined the Air Force Reserves as a C-17 pilot. I was mobilized for Enduring/Iraqi Freedom from 2003 to 2005 and flew to Iraq and Afghanistan many times.
I currently live in Missoula, MT and am retired from the Air Force Reserve, but will soon be serving in the active duty Air Force again at Nellis AFB, NV (near Las Vegas). The Air Force is short of pilots and has asked retirees to return to acti...Expand for more
ve duty for 2-3 years to help. My home and family will still be in Missoula and I'll have to commute as much as possible.
I am married to Barbara Behan. She is from Missoula and is an Arizona (BA) and Arizona State (MA) graduate. We met while I was based at Williams AFB in Phoenix, AZ. We have a daughter, Halle Virginia, who was born in Fairbanks, Alaska and is now twelve and in 7th grade.
We enjoy hiking and skiing in MT and traveling outside the state.
Missoula is a wonderful town and is located in a beautiful area. It certainly feels like "God's country" and I'm grateful to live here.
