I lived most of my childhood in North Little Rock, AR. In 3rd - 4th grade I went to Rose City Elementary. When Lynch Drive School was built in 1960 I had to go there. I remember Mr Pittman in the 6th grade. He was wonderful. From Lynch Drive I went to 4th Street Jr. High near downtown NLR. It was a long bus ride. Back then they used city buses not school buses. I remember the high school girls with their big petticoats using two seats. In 10th grade I finally was at North Little Rock High School. I loved that school. But in Jan 1964, the middle of my sophomore year we moved to Dallas, TX. I then attended Garland High School. Then again another school was built and I had to change schools. That was South Garland High School. Being the first graduating class was fun. After high school I went to Denton for college and met Bernie. Bernie was originally from Northern Ireland and then from Brooklyn, NY. We were married in 1969 and in 1971 he joined the Army and was stationed at Fort Polk, LA until he was sent to Frankfurt, Germany. I joined him in Frankfurt in Dec. 1972.
