Chris's Story
Life
After high school I moved to Spokane to go to ITT for CAD. From there I ended up in Coeur d'Alene, ID for about 8 years where I worked for a plumbing contractor and then a mechanical contractor, where I designed projects. Ended up in Phoenix in 2001 working for engineering companies. Tested a couple of years ago and became a mechanical engineer. I now design hospitals and laboratories.
Got married a couple of years after high school to Kathy Burkhart. We were married ...Expand for more
for about 4 years, and then had a civil divorce. Still keep in touch once in a long while.
I had a son when I was 18 years old, but was not much of an active parent back then. A couple of years ago I became a full custody parent to Branden. It was initially very challenging, learning how to adjust to parenthood, as I'm sure it was challenging for Branden to adjust to the change also. Things are going great now. Branden is a wonderful son, and I am a very luck and proud dad.
