Chris's Story

Life I've got a couple of great teenagers (one boy and one girl), and a fantastic fiance. I've been at FedEx for 19 years and live in California again. I've done some good traveling around the states and Caribbean and hope to continue to do so. I worked at a horse ranch in my spare time, but have had the few years or so off. My fiance and I bought a great house in the country on an acre and a half in north eastern California and love to go up there. We can't wait till we can move out to the country for good. Still don't have my own horse, but that will have to wait until we move. Military I had lots of good times;Paddy's, the Kings Head Inn, Virginia Beach, Ocean Eddy's, the party after we got back from Germany, Holiday dinners and the COB's (Master Chief Foster) house, schooners,..... I got to see lots of places; Ft. Lauderdale, Gibralter, Germany, Coco beach, LaMad, Norway, England, Puerto Rico and the walk back to the boat in the rain, St. Thomas, St. Croix, Bermuda. Bad times; Gibralter, hang overs in a whole...Expand for more
lotta places, Puerto Rico (what do they put into that beer?), St. Thomas, in particular. Cleaning up the AMR bildge (" the snake pit") after lots and lots of watches, the green carpet for a bad dye job, Field Days, chipping paint, port and starboard watches, etc. The food;Howard Brown's famous dishwater soup, plastic milk, dehydrated vegetables, bug juice, pizza night, sliders, etc. Good friends I'll never forget; Tino, Ballentyne, George, Juntanun, Harper, Kolb, Walligora, Chaney, Serpa, Duncan, Tits, Whipple, Sims, Hogge, Cain, Wallace, Ettsity, both Woods, Bubbles, and a whole, whole lot more, and too many to name. Some characters: Master Chief Foster, Chief Merkle, Howard Brown, Chief Maggy, Senior Chief Nafzinger (sp), Senior Chief Welton, Doc Pierce, "Wild Bill Heron", and more I can't think of at the second. Thanks to QM1 Crowley who saved our butts and got screwed for it! Sorry for being such a pain in your butt to Senior Chief Harvey Day, on of the best people I have had the pleasure to know.
