Eric's Story
Life
So - I'm still alive and kicking (or at least twitching!) after all these years. After graduating from Sacred Heart Elementary in 1965, our family moved (back) to Cloverdale (CA), where I attended High School, graduating from CHS in 1969. I went to CHS reunions at 5 & 10 years (missed the 15 year one in 1984) - and haven't heard of one being held since. Was drafted into the Army in 1971, but managed to stay out of the Vietnam debacle, opting for 3 years in Germany instead. From the mid-70's until mid-80's I attended Junior College (College of the Siskiyous) & UC Santa Cruz (Kresge), getting degrees in Art & Psychology, with minors in Math. and Philosophy. in travel abroad, and work as a carpenter as well. Bought a 170-acre organic farm/ranch with several land partners in the mountains of NE WA State on the Canadian Border in the mid-80's, and have been living the back-to-the-land life-style ever since. Work part-time for the local school district as a 'Special Needs' Coordinator in the after-school program, and do carpentry on the side. Also keep my mind active with community service volunteering, doing art when time permits, and trying to stay one step ahead of our (very intelligent) goats!
