father of three, struggling to stay a live in my home town in this troubled economy. i reside in a modest home underground, we have a mansion on top of our house for appearances only. That beautiful home is where i dabble in Carpentry and Green building with most everything salvaged from around the country or collected at Antique shows. This is a luxury I think, I am blessed that i have had a project at home to work on. To be able to live on 17 beautiful acres full of wildlife, woods, meadows, natural springs Etc.is for me what life is all about. We are being forced to sell due to corruption and not selling out to it, we are torn up by the prospect. I can't live in developments and don't do neighborhoods well with my 3 Dogs, 5 trucks, 4 cats, 2 caddies all garbage it is an ugly prospect and it will be the death of me? Anyway, I would love to be the guy that could do/say whatever it takes to make deals. I can't seem to lie no matter what? To be the honest guy that does what is right for his clients and keep my integrity intact is not profitable in todays market? I really don't have much time for those that put success ahead of all the rest?Yet watching my hometown be ruined by developers and crooks making fortun...Expand for more
es, while my kids go hungry and do without is killing me too. I am down to earth and willing to stay that way even if it means starving to death, but I am fed up with watching my children suffer for my choise to do the right thing? I & my family had a rough decade b-cus i was a honest ethical Realtor in a discusting industry. I did not go along for the ride and I reported the fraud i saw, only to lose everything? Oh well, like they say no good deed goes unpunished. I'd do the same thing again under the same circumstances. My Brokers were , racist Redlining, property steering tax cheats that invented the art of bank fraud, kinda hard to work for people like that and go home to your family and feel good about it even for 200k a year? So I took the road less traveled and eek out my 25 k and let the rest of the big agents bad mouth me and say how stupid I was for blowing the whistle on corruption instead of taking the money and running like 90% of those in this industry? Look at our country whats important today? What defines success? Is it the new car, Spec house, trophy wife, if so you can have it. I'll take my unfinished earth home and bad credit empty account and ability to look my kids in the eye with my head hung high! Hey that's me obviously not the majority or we would not be ending the worst decade in American History, Right? So to all those holier than tho's out there in the judgement seat how's it feel now?? we are all Bankrupt in one form or another at this point??Spiritually emotionally finaicially? take ur pick and if you sold out how was it? was it worth it? I have a saying it goes like this We are all on the Titanic together if you insist on lining your pockets with Gold be my guest!! Peace out! What a waste of breath! I just lost the last thing I had my family is moving on so their family will finally get off their lazy asses and help !".
