Chris Blackard:  

(2003) Chris Blackard has been pounding out the beat for Bay Area Rock Bands since he was sixteen years old. In the beginning like most young players, Chris studied with the local high school marching band , and performing band. At nights Chris was playing the kind of music that really drove him, and that was Rock'n Roll. On the advice of his parents Chris went to College to study Music, and to be a piano tech. After leaving college, working with the group BOULDER SLAM JACK, Chris pursued a career in music. After the disbanding of BSJ, Chris moved on to co-found THE ASTRAL KITCHEN, an all original band that had many influences, but was firmly planted in Rock'n Roll. In 1996 Chris joined a group that was reforming known as REDVETTE, but this time Chris moved away from the drums and front stage to sing lead vocals. The experience of holding down the front man spot really help to bring out the showmanship that had been so long hid behind a wall of drums.
