Chris's Story
Life
Well I never made it far from Burlington. I still live there, close to the lake. I've been self employed for 12 years (since the 1996 reunion) I periodically bump into former classmates which is always a pleasure.
Those I meet up with, like me, have gained a few pounds and have grey hair to show for the challenges life brings. Thank-fully all that I meet are prosperous and healthy. It normally feels like a special connection when you meet a person from high school. I think it's the innocense of that time that feels good. I do feel badly for those that are no longer with us. It saddens me to hear about those that died tragically or from illness at a young age. Some committed suicide. Life dealt them a bad hand and they didn't have the tools to deal with it.

rned money doesn't buy happiness. I'm glad I finally figured that out. It doesn't matter how much money you have to buy stuff or things with, they won't make you happy. Happiness comes from within yourself. Like they say: it's an inside job!
Well I finalized the sale of my 50% interest in Miller Polymer / Ellsworth Adhesives Canada to my partner Ellsworth Adhesives of Germantown Wisconsin. The deal closed earlier in February 2008. I learned a lot. I wish my former team well as they go forward and thank them for their loyalty and hard work. Ellsworth is the best company in the adhesives business. I wish them a tremendous amount of success.
I'm in a very nice relationship with Gillian McDougall. We attended Strathcona and Nelson together. We have a wonderful time together.
I'm in process of opening a new manufacturing business. It's a challenge in these economic times. The dollar, competitors in developing economies as well as great domestic competitors. Bring it on! My new company is called Allness Silicone Company. We will succeed.
