Chris's Story

This is to my young childhood friends. I was the youngest of five boys, my brothers all graduated from Rolling Hills high school. Being the youngest of my mother I lived with her in Torrance, where I met you guys. Good thing! After high school I worked several sheet-metal jobs, one at Hughes helicopters before getting laid off. I was then asked to take a trip to New Jersey , PA, New York for the summer. Where I worked at several restaurants. I came home at the end of 81 and my family decided no one had a place for me. A friend from Florida called me to let me know he had a friend that would let me stay with him in Hermosa. Two weeks Became four and this friend then asked me to be gone by Friday, this was on a Monday. When I got up off that couch on Monday morning a fear went through my body that I was homeless after Friday. I had had a dream up in PV where I was facing the cliffs. I put my Volkswagen in reverse but made a mistake and put it in first gear and went over the cliffs and when I went over those cliffs I called on God. That dream came back to me that Monday morning and something in my head asked me what did you do in that dream. Well, that Monday morning I got on my knees and surrendered my life to Jesus and asked him to save me. I ...Expand for more
told him where ever he wanted me to go, do or say he was in charge. I also asked Him to take me away from the things and people I knew. I heard about him growing up, at Easter. One of my brothers had become a Christian during that whole Jesus movement. That Monday night I went over to my other brothers and had a big party, also Tuesday, Wednesday and then Thursday night when I came home having to be out on the street Friday morning. Getting out of my friends car I heard my name being called about three blocks down the alley. That one Christian brother said that God told him to come find me, he didn’t know where I lived, 11 o’clock on a Thursday night. He lived an hour and a half out of LA I grabbed my backpack and my life changed. Jesus said he was the only way. He loves you more then anyone, you know he proved it. Your life can change to if you just call on him. If you need help you can call me, Chris your friend. I lived the dream for 22 years in Washington state, three kids, seven horses, Rode the horses right out the back door to the mountains. My son got a job at the LA Air Force Base so I sold it all to be near him. I won’t be in California much longer, (two years now) way too expensive. Man I hope this finds you in time. (509)599-8991
