Director and Market Research Director when I moved into the publishing industry in 1983, producing research studies and articles for many of our trade magazines. I served as lead Economist for the U.S. convenience store industry from 1985 through 1994 and produced many SOI (State of the Industry) reports. I then became Marketing Director for the Int'l Mass Retail Association from 1995-1997. Most of my career was spent in Manhattan until 1998 when PPL Inc. recruited me into their Marketing program where I spearheaded several product launches for them and was selected into their think tank. PPL moved us to the Lehigh Valley in eastern Pennsylvania where we now live. I later launched and ran Ebel Marketing and produced multi-level marketing information tools combining proprietary data, demographics, psychographics, geodemographic data and purchasing statistics utilizing GIS mapping software to help guide clients in identifying market trends by specific SIC categories. I sold my company and retired in 2020. Started my own blog chris-ebel.com - lots of fiction, sci fi, essays and more! Feel free to visit! Having fun writing, relaxing, traveling and spending more time as an Investor.
